 Campaign #56 For LRAT
S! LRAT
Well its my campaign annual message. For those active in the squad id just like to share a little news. I found out from Bluekill that SUBRAT17 has abandoned LRAT and allied HC to go axis. I'm not sure if he will chime in here, but without any warning i feel that his leave was unprevoked and well, rude. But anyway thats war. I also want to ask for everyone to actively leave a message to announce that they will be in game? I havn't seen quite a few lrat plaers in the last camp and a half. I know theres always other obligations and i know some are waiting for 1.31 but personally i have also noticed the lack of lrat players online and even with coordinated happenings. We seem to be on at different times which makes it hard only haveing this many people in the squad, and i know i suffer from the lack of team play, my goal for this camp is to set my personas up so that its a fresh start with rank which ever i may be at for that persona, so that 1.31 can be a new fresh start. Feel free to messsage availability and the posibility of working something out so we can get "teams" together for certain times to accomplish goals. S!

S! Dakota! Wish I had the money to jump in right now. Being poor sucks hard. Hmmm, can't say I'm happy to hear about Subrat, especially when we left him in charge of things while we were out of game. A bit of (uncommon these days) courtesy in letting us know he was leaving would have been appreciated. So far as your leadership and teamwork are concerned, it is understandable. We all get worn down by disloyal and inconsistent players to the point of not wanting to put forth the effort. Most especially when others that you enjoy playing with and have good team chemistry with aren't around anymore. The most significant blow to this squad was losing our sense of purpose when supply interdiction was made obsolete. We have been struggling ever since. Without leaders to be consistently in game to provide guidance and fun the squad keeps seeing periods of growth and reduction. It's a shame really.

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
yano, as for the whole supply interdiction, actually this is the time we can do our best. honestly i see major opportunites if we can monitor axis brigrades, if they launch ao's on a town we need to be first on site to impede the impending acctack. for instance if they say ao leuven, then as soon as we get notified of it and we see that the next town is full of brigs, we should try to setup atgs and tanks and sappers halfway or at some point to help breakdown thier supply, also rdp runs are very helpfull if and only if its a stable and constant attack, if i had 9 bombres we could take out a factory at a time, given the accuracty.. its all possible through teamwork.

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
Good Idea we should try that, also we tried that many times when Allied HC place or going to place an AO and by the time we get to ambush set up the AO pulled or cancel and CE is the worst guy to do that.

Say what you want about CE, he was at least trying to motivate people to do stuff. He was a good leader, they just shouldn't have had him making map decisions.

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
S! LRAT. Well ive beat the system, the little gay CZee "cyberzone" thing they have here to provide servicemen with internet access was soooo smothered in spicy lamesauce with their 18 cents a friggin minute internet access i just decided to take a new route with these asshats. I just came in and pushed over all the shit (keyboard and monitor) at one of the stations and set up my own laptop at the table and disconnected the ethernet cable on the computer and plugged it into mine and guess what, it works. So now im gettin wired internet for free. So guess what, i just resubbed to BE and am installing the game now as we speak. WOOT! i'll be playing on weekends and occasionally on wednesdays. IM BACK!!

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
That happened to you once But seriously, what did you expect, he is from an Armor squad and his solution to everything was a giant armor column. Problem is, it doesn't work with people not in your squad and works even less with no infantry in the fight. Like I said, great leadership he just shouldnt have been making decisions.

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
No, I don't remember. I only remember going with him once and it worked out but I didn't get to shoot anything and then other times I went as inf hunting sappers. And those times I remember saying it wouldn't work and then watching the tanks all die like that time Hotjoe went. I think Joe was one of the few left alive when it was over and no progress was made on the town.

 Re: Campaign #56 For LRAT
Hi Gang...Yes it's me.... I am a driver by nature. Put me in a box with an engine and I am happy as a clam. On the ground, at sea, or in the air. I don't care. So, you might can say that I am sort of a tanker, and I have gotten quite a few kills in BE driving one. At least half, and probably more, tank deaths are caused by the operator not knowing how to run a tank or run a tank column especially on the attack. They are not mobile pill boxes. Sit still for more than 3 minutes in one location during an assault and you are dead. As for a tank column. It is a great sight to see a long line of tanks running along the road toward an objective. Knowing what to do once you get there is where the column usually falls apart. Most columns will split with some tanks going this way, and some that way, and some just parking it outside of town for some long range sniping. End result is alot of burning tank carcasses. If a tank column is created for an assault on a town, there is only one thing you can do with it. Crank those suckers into high gear and drive the entire column straight into the enemy AB and camp it. No stopping. No loitering. No kicking back and allowing the defenders to set up an ambush. You move fast. You move together. You do not stop until you are blasting the vehicle spawn with HE. The most critical time is entering the AB. You move in fast to clear the opening so that you don't block the entrance if you get pranged You might doubt that this method works, but I have done it, and been successful more times than not. Blitzkrieg works in WWIIOnline very well thank you very much. It is best utilized to break a stalemate in a protracted fight. It doesn't even have to be a very big column. I have done it solo, and at other times with one or two backups. Once those parked tankers spot a friendly tank in the enemy AB, they usually get off their butts and come along to help h. Just like playing infantry, a tanker must be bold and aggressive or he might as well paint a target on his back.. Yes, you can lose alot of tanks that way. But, better that than losing the same amount to sappers 1500 meters from town. There was one attack where I drove right into an AB and locked it down, and it was at least 5 minutes before any backup arrived, and there must have been 15 friendly tanks surrounding that town. I gotta tell ya...I breathed a sigh of relief once that first friendly tanker showed up. Five long minutes with your head on a swivel, moving and shooting non-stop while you got the enemy surrounded in their own front yard can wear ya out..
